January: Permaculture Design Course
(photo 1) Our classroom next to the cows kitchen.
(photo 2) The core principle of OUR permaculture design course.
(photo3) We lived basically, sharing with an Indian family. While there I gave them some chalk and everyday they created these colourful artworks, just by sprinkling chalk dust on the ground.
(photo 4) Me climbing a papaya tree.
(photo 5) Me and the beautiful big hearted Bonnie.
(photo 6) Our breakfast. Everyday fruit salad and Ragi (a millet porridge). The first 5days it tasted great, then slowly a desire for a little variety started creeping in. By the end of the course everyone was even dreaming about ragi we'd eatten it sooooo many times.
(photo 7) Hmmm how much do I want to "embrace" India??? Picking and gobbling fresh chillies, in a whole field of chillies doesn't look like my idea of paradise.
(photo 8) Me sweeping! My young Indian neighbours thought it'd be a good idea to take a photo of me sweeping.
(photo 9) Lunch time, of course ragi's included.
(photo 10) Creating a new chalk artwork.
(photo 11) This time we get to colour in :)
(photo 12) Eclipse of the sun + a dragonfly created this magical photo.
(photo 13&14) Groups presenting their final designs.....
(photo 15) ...... and the captivated audience, if only.
(photo 16) John Button our teacher. He's full of amazing energy, stories, adventures, and inspiration.
(photo 17) Me and our cook. She had such strong energy. We'd sneak into the food storage room and go wild dancing together - lots of fun.
(photo 18) Our big lovely fun family of world savers!
